It’s all about the ladies!

I think it’s about time we had a blog just focusing on the wonderful women of the MTB world. Ladies, this one is for you!

World Champion Marga Fullana (Massi) continued her fabulous winning streak by winning the Superprestigio Massi round at Iles Balears, in Spain, and making it win number five of five – and don’t forget one of those wins was at the Madrid World Cup just last weekend. You go girl!

At the iXS European Downhill Cup in Verbier, France’s Floraine Pugin (Ironhorse) grabbed first place, just ahead of Swiss national champion Emilie Siegenthaler (Scott 11) and Ecuador’s Diana Marggraff (Zenith).

On a sadder note, Shanaze Reade, an Olympian and former BMX champion, has injured her shoulder in a training accident – she unfortunately landed on the shoulder she injured two years ago. She’ll have to delay her MTB debut for around 4 months as she’s likely to need surgery. Get better Shanaze!

Woohoo! To all the ladies representing the fairer sex, you rock!

Are you a lady in the MTB world? Share your stories with us.
